Traffic and Parking Information for July 4th
Posted Date: 7/2/2010

Street Closures:
At 6:30 p.m on the Fourth of July, police will close Francis Street between England and S. Henry Streets. At 7 p.m. Francis Street will be closed from S. Henry Street to York Street.

Parking:
Parking will not be available this year at Matthew Whaley School.

The Prince George Parking Garage (230 North Henry Street) will be open, with special event parking at $5.00 per vehicle beginning at 4 p.m.

Trolley:
A great alternative to parking downtown is to park at New Town or High Street and take the trolley. The Williamsburg Trolley will operate on an extended schedule on Sunday from 12 noon until 11 p.m. The Trolley operates from New Town to Merchants Square by way of High Street and Richmond Road. Fares are 50 cents for a regular round trip, 25 cents for seniors and no charge for area students with a qualifying ID card. Details are available on the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority website, www.williamsburgtransport.com.
