Verizon Phone Outage Information
Verizon is currently experiencing problems with their phone land
lines in James City County, Williamsburg and Upper York County. All land
lines operated by Verizon in this service area are currently not
working.
Emergency 911 phone calls initiated in this service area are
being automatically transferred to the York/Williamsburg/Poquoson
Dispatch Center, so there is no interruption in 911 Emergency phone
service. If you experience an emergency, please dial 911 as usual. If
you do not have a dial tone on your land line, please use a cell phone
to dial 911. For non-emergencies, please call 890-3621 or 898-0005.
Verizon is currently working to correct this problem. We will
provide additional information as it becomes available.
