City offices will be closed in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. Recycling pickup is postponed until Saturday, July 7.
Colonial Williamsburg's fireworks display will begin at 9:30pm.
To avoid traffic congestion, consider parking at the Regional Visitor Center and riding the shuttle.
Another great alternative is to park at New Town or High Street and take the Williamsburg Trolley. It will operate on Wednesday from 12 noon until 11 p.m. Fares are $1 for a regular round trip, 50 cents for seniors, 50 cents for area school students with a valid ID card, and no charge for area college students with a qualifying ID card. Details are available here.
