BUSINESS RECYCLING – Businesses that recycle save significantly in disposal fees by downsizing thier dumpster/s and cutting back on collections per week/month. Now offered through most of the disposal companies are co-mingled dumpsters, meaning that the recycables do not have to be separated and can be mixed into the dumpster. They also offer smaller 96 gallon wheeled containers for smaller businesses or those without space for a dumpster. Businesses are encouraged to fill out and return their Business Recycling Reporting Forms. These forms are mailed out every year with the business license renewals. The business recycling is added with residential recycling and reported to the Department of Environmental Quality. The state asks that each locality recycle 25% of their wastestream. Here are some of our recycling percentages:

We are ever striving for higher rates. Your recycling report helps us make a difference! Reports have been mailed out for 2009 and are due March 1, 2010. We will be mailing out the 2010 forms in December 2010, watch for one included with your business license renewal forms. To print out a form click here - form.
