ANN DAVIS, TREASURER
PROFILE
Ann has a solid foundation of experience for the office she holds. She was appointed by the Circuit Court in September 1998 to complete the sixteen month unexpired term of retiring Treasurer, Betty S. Pettengill. Ann brought eleven years of tax administration experience and seventeen years of management experience to the office, as well as the endorsement of Mrs. Pettengill.
Ann feels strongly that the Treasurer should be responsible to ALL the local citizens and provide Williamsburg taxpayers with ready access to the individual who collects their local and state taxes. Also, the Treasurer's Office provides a realistic balance between local government and the citizens
Ann is the Treasurer for James City County Industrial Development Authority, Colonial Community Corrections, WAMAC, Regional Jail Authority and ten other agencies, authorities and funds. She is a member of the Peninsula Agency on Aging Advisory Board, Toano Vol. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and James City County Fair Committee. She is a member of the Treasurer's Assoc. Of VA, VA Assoc. Of Local Elected Constitutional Officers and Hampton Road Treasury Management Association.
