The City has its own water source, treatment plant and operates the distribution system. Residential water meters are read quarterly. Business water meters are read monthly. A water deposit is required. To initate or discontinue water service, complete the forms below or call (757) 220-6188. Payment can be made by mail, in person, through automatic monthy payment (ACH) or at our online e-Government site.
Rate Schedule
Water Rates (Effective 7/1/07)
- In City - $3.30/1000 gallons
- York County - $4.29/1000 gallons
Sewer Rates (Effective 7/1/07)
- No separate City sewer rate
- City collects HRSD rate charges for sewer treatment as follows:
First 67,500 gallons/quarter
(22, 500 gallons/month)$2.65/1000 gals. In excess of 67,500 gallons/quarter
(22,500 gallons/ month)$2.39/1000 gals.
