Economic Development Authority (EDA)

Demolition Program : The Williamsburg Economic Development Authority is sponsoring a Demolition Program to assist local businesses and property owners located in the City of Williamsburg.  The goal of the program is to assist with the demolition of under utilized commercial properties in order to facilitate the redevelopment of the properties. Sign Replacement Program: The Williamsburg Economic Development Authority is sponsoring a sign replacement grant program to assist local businesses and property owners located in the City of Williamsburg. The goal of the program is to provide grants to businesses and property owners for the replacement of nonconforming business signs.

Sign Replacement Grant Program Application & Details (PDF)

Bond Application: The Williamsburg Economic Development Authority was chartered to encourage location and expansion of qualifying commercial and industrial enterprises in the City of Williamsburg. In order to carry out its purposes, the Authority has adopted an application form, and a set of policies which govern the consideration of all applications for bond assistance.

Business Appreciation Award: Nominations are currently being accepted to recognize city businesses whose hard work and dedication make the City of Williamsburg a better place to live, work and visit. Any person or business can nominate a city business for the Williamsburg Business Appreciation Award.

Meetings: The Williamsburg EDA meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Municipal Building located at 401 Lafayette Street.
