Request for Issuance of Proclamation

The Mayor and City Council are pleased to issue proclamations for the many worthwhile community events and causes significant to the City of Williamsburg.

To request a proclamation, complete the requested information. Please note that the request must also include draft proclamation language (click to view a sample proclamation format).

The completed request may be submitted on-line below, OR mailed to: City of Williamsburg , Office of the City Manager, 401 Lafayette Street , Williamsburg, Virginia 23185 . Please allow at least three weeks for processing.

You may pick up the signed proclamation in the City Manager's Office, or request that it be mailed to the address provided on the application form. Other than special proclamations initiated by City Council, proclamations are not presented or read aloud at City Council meetings.
