VIEWING A PORTABLE DOCUMENT
FORMAT (PDF) FILE
Portable Document Format (PDF) allows us to view documents that would be too difficult to create or maintain in HTML format. To view and print PDF documents, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
A free copy is available from Adobe's website. Follow the instructions on Adobe's site to download this software (save this software to your hard drive and run the file from where you saved it), use the back key to return to the City of Williamsburg website, and then click on any PDF document link to view or print.
Some documents are created in Acrobat 5.0 for greater accessability. If you are having trouble viewing the document, please update your version of Adobe Acrobat Reader following the directions above.
If your are getting an empty frame, there is a problem with Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Microsoft suggests you upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater and Acrobat Reader 4.0 or greater. As a workaround, you can download the file and then view it in the Acrobat Reader program outside the web browser. The complete suggestion from Microsoft is given in the link below.
