Williamsburg Parks and Recreation would like to honor and remember the sacrifice of our fallen Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement and Military members on Armed Forces Day by sharing their stories along our trail at Waller Mill Park on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Remembrance signs will be displayed at Waller Mill Park on the asphalt trail. All are welcome to walk in honor of those who have passed in the line of duty. Trail is wheelchair accessible.

Remembering A Fallen Hero
If you would like to submit a fallen hero story, please provide the following information.
Please provide your name, contact phone #, contact email, relationship to person being remembered, fallen hero’s name, age (00/00/00-00/00/00), hometown and state and date of death.
The Person Being Remembered
The full name of the person you are honoring with their story. Police Department, Fire Department or Military branch (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard, Navy) and conflict served (Afghanistan and Iraq, September 11, Gulf War, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI, Peacetime, other).
The Honoree’s Short Bio & Story
Provide us a bio with the above information that is short (100 words or less), and paints a picture of who the person was.
Please submit a photo along with your submission. Photos of person being honored in uniform are preferred by not necessary.
Submit your story to email@example.com along with .jpg or .png photo. Information and photo can also be mailed to Quarterpath Recreation Center, 202 Quarterpath Road, Williamsburg VA 23185. Photos submitted by mail will not be returned.
