 STREET DIVISION – The City maintains its own street system. VDOT    maintains all county roads. The City has approximately 50 miles of  roadways which require paving, painting, sweeping, and signage. The  Street Division is responsible for drainage, traffic signals, sidewalks, leaf collection, snow removal and mosquito control.

 

Contact Public Works to report:

  • Road signs damaged or down   mosquito spraying
  • Malfunctioning traffic signal lights
  • Damaged sidewalks and curbs
  • Pot holes in streets
  • Snow & Ice hazards
  • Street signage requests
  • Drainage issues
  • Street sweeping requests
  • Mosquito control requests
  • Leaf collection questions
  • Deceased animals in the street
  • Streetlights out or malfunctioning

Just fill out the appropriate form below.  You can email it to us, drop off or fax (259-3798).  The forms are reviewed by the Public Works & Utilities Department, Police Department and City Manager's Office.
