Waller Mill Park Entrance Fees
Posted Date: 7/6/2010

Beginning July 6, a $2 per vehicle fee will be charged for entrance to Waller Mill Park. Visitors arriving at the park will now take an entrance ticket at the automated gates located 0.2 mile from the Airport Road entrance. At their convenience during their visit, they will bring the ticket to the boathouse before leaving the park to pay the fee. The validated ticket will open the gate to allow you to exit the park. The daily fees will be charged April-September, and from October-March the fee will be charged on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only.

Specific information about the fees, including season passes and Waller Mill Dog Park patrons, is available from the Parks & Recreation Department for downloading (pdf) and online at http://www.williamsburgva.gov/Index.aspx?page=915 or by phone, 259-3778.

The implementation of an entrance fee is part of the City's FY 2011 Budget in order to close the gap between expenses and income while maintaining the quality and services of this great regional asset.  The city has decided to follow the lead of other state and national parks which have found entrance fees necessary in recent years to help close the funding gap.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we move forward with this new system. We appreciate your continued patronage of Waller Mill Park.
