Colonial Williamsburg is a 173 acre living history museum portraying 18th-century life--from busy taverns and shops to horse drawn carriages and costumed interpreters who recreate the early social, economic, and political climate.

Each year the City of Williamsburg and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation host more than 1,000,000 visitors, including more than one hundred thousand school children.

We appreciate your assistance in maintaining the peaceful 18th-century ambience by using designated drop-off and pick-up points briefly, and parking in a designated bus area while your group tours Colonial Williamsburg.

BUS DRIVERS PLEASE NOTE:

Comply with "NO THROUGH BUS" signs:

  • Newport Avenue between Boundary Street and Griffin Street

  • Nassau Street between Francis Street and Scotland Street

  • Scotland Street between Henry Street and Prince George Street

Bus drivers should note that off/on loading areas are not for parking. Help preserve Historic buildings, tranquillity in the Historic Area, and the environment by not running engines any longer than absolutely necessary.

Designated DROP-OFF and PICK-UP Points (15 minute limit) - Portions of Francis St. west of Blair, Botetourt and S. England; Richmond Rd.(south side, east of Armistead Ave.) Nassau St.(east side - Francis to Newport).

Motorcoaches may park at the First Transit (bus center and lounge), the Visitor Center or at their motels for long-term waiting. Click here to view Historic Area map available as a PDF file. For more information, contact Colonial Williamsburg at 1-800-828-8878.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Williamsburg and will return soon.
