City Manager's Office
The City of Williamsburg operates under a Council-Manager form of government. Under this system, the City Manager is comparable to a corporation's Chief Executive Officer, serving at the pleasure of City Council.
City Council hired Andrew O. Trivette as city manager in November 2018, previously serving as Williamsburg's assistant city manager for two years. Trivette is responsible for implementing the policies and directives of City Council. In August 2021, Michele Mixner DeWitt became the assistant city manager after 16 years as the City's Economic Development Director.
