Marcus Alert is a state-wide mental health awareness response and community understanding services alert system promoting a behavioral health response to individuals in crisis. The Marcus Alert implementation workgroup, which is composed of members from JCC, Williamsburg, York and Poquoson, is recruiting for community stakeholders to gain insight and inform the process for implementation of the comprehensive behavioral health response. Williamsburg Human Services provides a broad array of human service programs for city residents who have financial, social, educational, health, and emotional needs. The department serves on the front line of intervention, assessment, service provision, and/or referral to appropriate agencies and organizations in the Williamsburg area.
