General & Primary Elections

Early voting begins 45 days prior to each Election. All registered City of Williamsburg voters have the option to vote early M-F 8am-4:30 during early voting periods. If you are a City of Williamsburg voter and not able to vote early you may request a ballot be mailed to you by contacting the Voter Registration and Election Office, or you may vote on Election Day at your assigned voting precinct. As a reminder no reason is needed to vote early in Virginia effective July 1, 2020.
