Financial Assistance Program

The Financial Assistance Program has been established to assist qualifying residents with financial hardship the opportunity to experience programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department at a reduced rate. Discount rates range from 20% to 75% based on the applicant's total gross household income. Approved Williamsburg Parks and Recreation discounted rates apply to James City County Parks and Recreation programs as well.

Eligibility

Assistance is based on gross income and size of household for City of Williamsburg residents, as well as residents that have been approved for the Human Services Food Stamp Program.

Applying for Assistance

Forms are available at the Quarterpath Recreation Center located at:

Williamsburg, VA 23185

Completed applications, with required documentation, are accepted at the Quarterpath Recreation Center. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Residents receiving services from the City of Williamsburg Human Services Department must first submit their completed application to their eligibility representative for verification and signature.

All levels are gross income. Income is defined as any money or cash equivalents received for work or through investments such as earnings, salary, pay, wages, goods or services or from sources including, but not limited to rents, capital interest or profits.
