The Great Williamsburg Adventure Race is back for its seventh year.
Teams will again race around the City of Williamsburg to complete challenges, decode puzzles, and solve riddles. The four-day race will happen rain or shine from Sept. 23-26, 2021. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the changes made to the race's format in 2020 will remain in place:
- The race will not be timed, instead taking place over the course of four days. The team with the highest score from completing challenges and puzzles will be declared the winner. If teams tie, a raffle drawing will determine the winner.
- The course spans across the City of Williamsburg. Prior to 2020, the race included businesses within a mile of downtown. Teams will need to bike, drive, or use public transportation to compete at each participating location.
- Teams are limited to two players.
The event requires a ticket to participate, and all teams must register in advance. The cost is $20 per team. Current William & Mary students can race for free, courtesy of the City of Williamsburg. Register at williamsburgadventurerace.com.
