The City of Williamsburg is monitoring the predicted snowfall forecast for our area. Despite anticipating a minor impact to our roads, City crews are prepared and on standby for deployment.
The City’s Street Division has prepared a snowplow and salt spreader for deployment, if necessary. The City has approximately 450 tons of salt and sand on hand.
Because of today’s warm temperatures and rainfall, no pretreatment of roads is occurring at this time.
The U.S. National Weather Service forecasts that snow is expected in the area on Monday morning. Currently, predicted accumulation is less than an inch.
A significant impact on the roads is not expected because of the recent warm weather. The City will monitor the roads overnight and into the morning. Residents are encouraged to monitor weather forecasts and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
