Update: Local Man and Woman Arrested for Armed Robbery

mugshotsOn Oct. 1, 2022, investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested Preston Teague Fox, 32 of Williamsburg, and England Marie Holley, 33 of Williamsburg. Investigators determined Fox and Holley committed armed robbery from a local business in the 3000 block of Richmond Rd on the evening of Sept. 23, 2022.

Investigators combed through surveillance footage, received anonymous information, and executed a search warrant which led to identifying Fox and Holley as the offenders. Investigators obtained felony warrants for firearm use in the commission of a felony, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and possession of tools with the intent to commit robbery.

Fox was located and arrested in Norfolk, Va., and Holley was located and served warrants at the Norfolk City Jail. Holley was in custody in Norfolk at the time warrants were obtained.  

These arrests were made possible by the incredible assistance we received from our local businesses, vigilant residents, and the Norfolk Police Department.

Original (Sept. 28, 2022)

On Sept. 23, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Richmond Road for an armed robbery that had just occurred. The initial investigation revealed that two unidentified men walked into the restaurant, and one of the men produced a note demanding money from the register and claiming to have a firearm. Before the register could be opened, one of the men grabbed the restaurant’s tip jar and both men fled the area on foot. There was approximately $100 in the tip jar. No one was injured during the robbery.


The unidentified male that produced the note was described as young, white, between 5’6”–5’9” tall, thin build, with curly red hair.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, hat, blue jeans, and a red bandana over his mouth and nose.

The second unidentified male was described as young, black, with a thin build. He was wearing black-colored clothing and a black face mask.
