Holiday Closings, Schedule Adjustments

City of Williamsburg offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26, as well as Friday, Dec. 30 and Monday, Jan. 2. This includes all offices in the Municipal Building on Lafayette Street.

Quarterpath Recreation Center will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Dec. 26, as well as Friday, Dec. 30 through Monday, Jan. 2. Waller Mill Park will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Garbage collection and curbside leaf collection will be delayed by one day the weeks of Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. Collections those weeks will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Tuesday, Jan. 3. Recycling collection is not affected by the holidays. Sign up for free reminders with ReCollect at williamsburgva.gov/garbage.

For water emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays, please call 757-220-2331. More information can be found at williamsburgva.gov/publicworks.

Need to pay a City bill when offices are closed? A convenient 24-hour bill payment dropbox is located at the front of the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette St., for City transactions; payments can also be made online. Dropbox payments made on Friday, Dec. 23 or Monday, Dec. 26 will not be posted until Tuesday, Dec. 27; dropbox payments made on Friday, Dec. 30 or Monday, Jan. 2 will not be posted until Tuesday, Jan. 3.
