Overnight work to install a waterline as part of the fire station construction will close a portion of Armistead Avenue and one lane of Lafayette Street starting on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
The closures include:
- Armistead Avenue between the Transportation Center and Lafayette Street.
- Westbound lane of Lafayette Street between Boundary Street and Lafayette. Westbound traffic will be directed into the left turn lane to continue straight on Lafayette.
Access to the Transportation Center is available via North Boundary Street.
The work will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for up to three nights. The work is slated to conclude by 6 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023.
Motorists should be prepared for a change in the traffic pattern and proceed with caution.
