Update: Online Payment System Back in Service

UPDATE (2 p.m.): Scheduled maintenance for the City of Williamsburg’s online payment system for utility and tax bills has been completed. Residents may resume use of the system.

---

The City of Williamsburg’s online payment system for utility and tax bills will be down for scheduled maintenance on Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023.

Payments can be made in-person or via the 24-hour payment dropbox at the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette St. Because the system maintenance will also affect the City’s internal systems, payments made in person on Sept. 25 and 26 will not be posted until Wednesday, Sept. 27.

We anticipate residents will be able to resume use of the online payment system by Tuesday evening.

This system maintenance also affects the Commissioner of the Revenue Office’s ability to process business license applications and renewals, as well as the Codes Compliance Division’s ability to process building permits and other applications.

Processing of these applications and permits will resume Wednesday, Sept. 27.
