Join City staff at a public meeting on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Williamsburg Community Building to discuss the next phase of the City’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
At the meeting, GreenPlay, the nationally-known parks and recreation management consulting firm, will provide results from the City’s Needs Assessment Survey including results from the community focus groups, stakeholder meetings and the community survey. In addition, information from the inventory of parks and facilities as well as an analysis of the City’s current level of service will be discussed.
“The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is intended to ensure an appropriate balance of facilities and amenities which best reflect the community’s desires and needs,” says Robbi Hutton, the City’s Director of Parks and Recreation. “That’s why we really need citizens to be involved.” With the research completed and the findings reviewed and discussed, the consultant will move into the next phase, that of developing and writing the plan.
The Williamsburg Community Building is located at 401 N. Boundary Street. The community is welcome and encouraged to attend. Questions regarding the Parks and Recreation Master Plan or the public meeting should be directed to Robbi Hutton, Director of Parks and Recreation at 757-259-3760 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
