UPDATE MARCH 26, 2020:  The following City of Williamsburg buildings and facilities are closed to the public through April 23:  Municipal Building, Stryker Center, Quarterpath Recreation Center, Waller Mill Park, Police Department and Fire Station (only required staff will be at work, others will be teleworking). In addition, the Governor has urged Virginians 65+ to self-quarantine. Business assistance information can be found here. Memorial Mile

Williamsburg Parks and Recreation would like to honor and remember the sacrifice of our fallen Military, Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement members by sharing their fallen hero stories at Waller Mill Park.

During Memorial Day weekend, we honor those that did not come home. The public is invited to participate in the event by sharing their story about a fallen hero. Information on how to submit a fallen hero story available at:

Remembrance signs will be on display Saturday, May 23, 2020 – Monday, May 25, 2020 at Waller Mill Park from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm located at 901 Airport Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. All are welcome to visit the park and read the stories of those that were taken too soon.
