2019 Business Appreciation Award Recipient Announced
Cardinal Survey and Design, PLC., a land surveying, planning, 3D imaging and civil engineering firm in the City of Williamsburg has been named the recipient of the 2019 Williamsburg Business Appreciation Award by the Williamsburg Economic Development Authority.
While headquartered in Williamsburg, Cardinal serves the entire mid-Atlantic region. The company was founded by George Cunha, a 20-year veteran of the land-surveying industry and a former executive at one of the largest and most respected surveying, planning, and consulting firms in the United States. George personally inspects every job site before they begin providing clients with a much desired and much appreciated extra level of service. Cardinal prides itself with coming up with creative and innovative ideas for businesses. They enjoy thinking “outside the box” and solving problems for their clients while paying extra attention to detail.
“Cardinal Survey and Design just may be one of the best secrets in Williamsburg,” says Adam Steely, EDA chairman. “While you and I don’t often have contact with a survey and civil engineering firm, in the industry they have an outstanding reputation and their work is top-notch. We are very proud that this company has been a part of our community for 9 years and employ a dedicated and professional staff of 18. They are well-deserving of our appreciation and of this year’s award.”
Cardinal Survey and Design recently acquired Berkley Howell which added additional services in the Lynchburg market and they are in development to acquire a company in Richmond. “We wish them heartfelt congratulations and continued success,” says Steely.
