Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Requests to Table Special Use Permits

Post Date:09/06/2019 1:33 PM

Yesterday, the City Manager received a request from the ColonialWilliamsburg Foundation asking that its two zoning items planned for public hearing on September 12, 2019 be tabled until the business meeting on October 10, 2019.

The purpose of their request, as stated in their letter, is to allow additional time for The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to complete a review of potential changes to downtown parking.

The City staff will recommend to City Council that they grant Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s request to table the zoning items. Should the City Council table the actions, they would be considered in full at the October 10, 2019 business meeting of the City Council.

The Council will proceed with the related items on Monday September 9, 2019; including a presentation of the Tourism Development Grant Review Committee’s recommendations on Monday September 9, 2019 at the City Council work session; and consideration of a text amendment on Thursday September 12, 2019 at the regularly scheduled City Council business meeting.

Please see the letter from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation indicating their request.
