Free Virginia Symphony Concert August 28th
As a kick-off to Williamsburg Fall Arts, the City of Williamsburg invites the entire community to the Virginia Symphony Orchestra (VSO) concert Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 7:30pm at William & Mary’s Lake Matoaka Amphitheatre. Doors open at 6:30pm.
The event will feature light classical and pops music. It will be the first of four free concerts that the symphony, which includes several members of W&M’s music faculty, will play in Hampton Roads.
The performance is open to the public, and free admission is made possible by the City of Williamsburg, the College of William & Mary and William & Mary's Student Assembly.
Guests are invited to bring family and friends, beach chairs and blankets. Personal coolers and picnic baskets will be permitted; however, no external alcohol will be allowed.
The Lake Matoaka Amphitheatre is located at 121 Ukrop Way. A campus map is available here.
In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held at Phi Beta Kappa Hall at 7:30 p.m
