COVID-19 UPDATE:
Consistent with Governor Northam’s Executive Order Fifty-Three, the Quarterpath Recreation Center and Waller Mill Park will remained closed through Thursday, April 23, 2020. Unfortunately, we were unable to find ways to solve the logistical issues associated with opening Waller Mill Park without staff being available to the users.

At this time, City parks remain open (with the exception of Waller Mill Park) and visitors can continue to access open spaces while continuing to adhere to proper social distancing guidelines. However, City of Williamsburg playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts , volleyball courts  and softball fields are closed until further notice in accordance with guidance from the Governor and the Virginia Department of Health. With so many children currently out of school, this is understandably challenging. However, we encourage everyone to do their part to try and limit the transmission of the virus. The spread of COVID-19 is the focus and slowing that transmission is accomplished by reducing public gatherings.

Effective April 1, 2020:  All Youth Co-Ed Volleyball, Girls Softball and Adult Volleyball leagues for the spring have been cancelled due to public health recommendations related to COVID-19.

You may contact Williamsburg Parks and Recreation administrative offices by calling (757) 259-3760 with any questions related to events, programs and leagues or email us at parksandrec@williamsburgva.gov. Follow us on social media for updates @WilliamsburgRec.
