UPDATE MARCH 30, 2020:  The following City of Williamsburg buildings and facilities are closed to the public through April 23:  Municipal Building, Stryker Center, Quarterpath Recreation Center, Waller Mill Park, Police Department and Fire Station (only required staff will be at work, others will be teleworking). Great City WalksGreat City Walks is an urban walking guide of trails in the City of Williamsburg, Virginia. Adopted in 2006 as one of the city’s many Jamestown 2007 Community Projects, the guide provides an opportunity for citizens and guests to explore our historic city by foot. The guide - created by the City Manager’s Office, the Parks and Recreation Department, and the GIS staff - includes seven trails which highlight interesting and historic sites in the city.

With the Williamsburg Wayfinder application, individuals can submit a service request or search for answers to common City questions in the knowledgebase library. This application also provides dynamic information for the Community, Businesses and Visitors in Williamsburg. Some highlights include: Shop & Dine to locate City of Williamsburg shops, restaurants, and landmarks, Great City Walks for GPS guided maps of local walking trails, and City Facilities and Parks to locate city facilities, rental locations and recreational activities.

Williamsburg owns and maintains ten (10) parks for residents to use and enjoy during their leisure hours that includes three community parks, four neighborhood parks and three passive parks.   Amenities include playground equipment, sand volleyball, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, athletic fields for baseball, softball, and basketball, as well as boating opportunities and boat rentals.
