Williamsburg, VA 23185
Consistent with Governor Northam’s Executive Order Fifty-Three, the Quarterpath Recreation Center and Waller Mill Park will remained closed through Thursday, April 23, 2020. Unfortunately, we were unable to find ways to solve the logistical issues associated with opening Waller Mill Park without staff being available to the users.
Waller Mill Park is located at 901 Airport Road (Rt. 645) between I-64 and Rt. 60 West. This 2,705-acre park is situated around a reservoir that was opened to the public in July 1972. The 360-acre lake is open for fishing, boating, pedal boating, canoeing and kayaking with a tunnel connecting the upper and lower sections of the lake. Numerous picnic tables, picnic shelters, play fields, and playground equipment are nestled among the trees providing a scenic picnic area.

A short hike from the park along the asphalt bike trail will bring you to the Lookout Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the water and woodlands.
Picnic Shelters. We have four (4) picnic shelters available for rent for events. Our four shelters offer a variety of amenities to choose from and can accommodate 20-150 people. Please call (757) 259-3778 to check date availability and prices. Corn hole and disc golf are also available for rental with shelters.
Fishing. Fishing at the park's lake is always a source of enjoyment for young and old alike. Within the clear waters, maintained populations of largemouth bass, striped bass, perch, brim, crappie and more await your hook. Fishing docks are accessible to wheelchairs. Fishing poles are available for rental as well as bait and tackle for purchase. 16 and older must have a fishing license to fish from boats and piers.
Disc Golf. Our 18 hole disc golf course can be played by beginners and experts alike. The 9-hole course is for beginner players with shorter holes, less walking and easier terrain for the family players. The 18-hole course is for more advanced players. The disc golf course is through the woods. Please be sure to bring a drink and use bug spray.
Boat Rentals: Canoe and kayak rentals are seasonal. Jon boats and pedal boats can be rented year round. Paddleboards are not permitted.
Wildlife is aplenty at Waller Mill Park as many reptiles, amphibians and birds inhabit this unique area. Please remember that wildlife cannot be removed from the park and feeding of wildlife is prohibited.
