UPDATE MARCH 30, 2020:  The following City of Williamsburg buildings and facilities are closed to the public through April 23:  Municipal Building, Stryker Center, Quarterpath Recreation Center, Waller Mill Park, Police Department and Fire Station (only required staff will be at work, others will be teleworking). Deputy Chief Galvin has been with the Williamsburg Police Department for twenty seven years. She started in patrol and has moved up the ranks through investigator, squad lieutenant and major. In her current position she oversees the Patrol Operations, Criminal Investigations and Professional Services Bureaus. Duties consist of working with each bureau commander on leadership development. The Deputy Chief is responsible for the professional delivery of a wide range of operational and administrative police services to include policy development within the police department. The Deputy Chief works to promote a cohesive environment among the three bureaus while overseeing and also closely working with other personnel members to maintain harmonious relationships throughout the organization. Additionally, to ensure that overall the Williamsburg Police Department’s efforts are directed towards the department goals and objectives.
