The payment system is fully automated, using license plate reader technology.Use Pay Stations near the pedestrian entrance on Prince George Street. How to use the pay station:
- Visit the Pay Station upon arrival: enter the correct license plate number (it's easier if you take a photo of your license plate to refer to), enter how long you plan to visit the downtown area, swipe your credit card, check whether you want a text or email receipt and the transaction is completed.
If you use the Prince George Parking Garage regularly, it is best to set up an account for ease of parking. Go to https://parkwilliamsburg.nupark.com/portal and set up an account. Once the account is established, you never have to use a Pay Station again. Your credit or debit card will be debited automatically.
EV (electric vehicle) EV charging stations available. Two stations - standard level 2 charging using J1772 plugs. No fee to use the charging stations.
The Prince George Parking Garage is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
Overnight Parking is not allowed.
The Williamsburg Police Department manages the daily operation of the Garage.
Value Cards are no longer being issued. If you are a Value Card holder, please contact the Parking Garage Supervisor at (757) 259-3797.
Monthly permits and semester permits are available for Downtown employees and W&M students. Set up an account online at https://parkwilliamsburg.nupark.com/portal or visit the City’s Finance Department on the first floor of the Municipal Building at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
The Prince George Parking Garage was constructed in cooperation with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and is owned and operated by the City of Williamsburg.

Parking Tickets - Online Ticket Payment
Parking tickets can be paid online at https://parkwilliamsburg.nupark.com/portal/Citations, by mail or in person at the Finance Department located at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
Tickets that have gone to summons must be paid at the Williamsburg-James City Courthouse.
