UPDATE MARCH 26, 2020:  The following City of Williamsburg buildings and facilities are closed to the public through April 23:  Municipal Building, Stryker Center, Quarterpath Recreation Center, Waller Mill Park, Police Department and Fire Station (only required staff will be at work, others will be teleworking). Educating Our Children

Goal:  The City of Williamsburg instructors will provide Fire Prevention Education to fourth graders at your school in order to enhance their level of awareness about fire and for the safety of the student, their families and their friends.

Objective 1
To instruct the students in the understanding of how fire burns and how it is extinguished by using the fire triangle
Objective 2:
To instruct the students in ways to prevent fires from occurring and to prepare the students in case fire were to occur
Objective 3: To instruct the students in what actions to take if a fire occurs
Objective 4:
To instruct the students to have a better understanding of what a firefighter's job entails and the equipment they use to perform their job
