UPDATE MARCH 26, 2020:  The following City of Williamsburg buildings and facilities are closed to the public through April 23:  Municipal Building, Stryker Center, Quarterpath Recreation Center, Waller Mill Park, Police Department and Fire Station (only required staff will be at work, others will be teleworking). In addition, the Governor has urged Virginians 65+ to self-quarantine. Business assistance information can be found here. COVID-19 UPDATE:
Consistent with Governor Northam’s Executive Order Fifty-Three, the Quarterpath Recreation Center and Waller Mill Park will remained closed through Thursday, April 23, 2020.


The Quarterpath Recreation Center is a 35,000 square foot facility providing both residents and non-residents with a wide array of recreational activities and amenities. Various instructional classes, athletic programs for youth and adults, sports camps, open gym times and special events are held throughout the year at this facility. The Quarterpath Recreation Center has 4 rooms available for rent for birthday parties, bridal and baby showers and corporate events. We offer two meeting rooms for rent for corporate meetings and trainings. Call (757) 259-3760 for more information and availability. See Quarterpath Room Rental for more information

Facility Amenities:

  • Gymnasium - 18,000 sq. ft. (double)
  • Dance/Aerobics Room - 1,700 sq. ft.
  • Meeting Rooms  (2)
  • Multi-purpose Room - 1,900 sq. ft.

Recreation Center Rules

  • Food and beverages are not permitted in the gym.
  • Soft soled, non-marking athletic shoes are required.
  • No open toed, heels or bare feet allowed.
  • Participants must wear a shirt at all times.
  • No Dunking or hanging from rims or nets.
  • No smoking, vaping, smokeless tobacco or tobacco chewing in the building.
  • Individuals exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct will be removed from the facility.
  • Courts are on a first come first serve basis.
  • City of Williamsburg Recreation Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Individuals under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
